Excellent 1967 Topps Baseball complete set consisting of 609 cards and including four graded examples highlighted by the sought-after #581 Tom Seaver rookie. The colorful set was Topps largest release to date in '67 and consisted of many important and Hall of Fame ballplayers.
Card fronts feature large color photographs of the players bordered by white, while the player's names and positions are printed at the top with the team identifier at the bottom. Facsimile autographs were also included on the cards adding the the uniqueness of the '67 set.
Some notables included in the set are Mickey Mantle, Ernie Banks, Ed Mathews, Willie Stargell, Don Drysdale, Bob Clemente, Willie McCovey, and more.
The graded examples included are as follows: #200 Willie Mays - SGC EX 5, #250 Hank Aaron - SGC EX 5, #581 Tom Seaver (R) - PSA NM 7, and #569 Rod Carew - SGC VG-EX 4. The Tom Seaver rookie card alone in a PSA NM 7 is currently selling in the $2,000 range at auction.
Overall, the ungraded cards remain in VG to EX condition with a few standout examples. Throughout the set, there may be some cards that would be good candidates for grading. Overall, certainly a set fit for any collector or someone who is looking to start a set with nice graded cards and potential to upgrade some commons.
