This lot features a pair of multi-signed baseballs the first one being a team-signed sphere from the 1964 Chicago White Sox. That season the Chisox closed the regular season with a record of 98-64 which was good enough for a second-place finish in the American League standings just one game behind the New York Yankees. Signed in various shades of ink by 26 members of the squad the baseball includes the scrawl of White Sox Manager Al Lopez on the sweet spot. Other notable signatures include starting right fielder Floyd Robinson who led the team that season with a .301 batting average as well as catcher J.C. Martin third baseman Pete Ward and center fielder Jim Landis. The second baseball boasts 31 different signatures on it stemming from a 1970’s Old Timer’s Day game. The most notable signature on it is Joe DiMaggio’s but other autographs of note include Yogi Berra Early Wynn and Wally Moon.Full LOA for Old Timer's Ball. '64 Ball is pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
