The 1963 World Series proved the point that good pitching always beats good hitting. The series pitted the two-time defending World Champion Yankees against their greatest rival the Dodgers. Though the Yanks featured one of the most fearsome lineups in the game the Dodgers pitching staff of Koufax Podres Drysdale and Perranoski gave up only four runs the entire series. There wasn’t a single instance when the Yankees had the lead and mercifully the whole ordeal was over in four games.

Presented here is a set of cufflinks available to players and executives after this lopsided World Series sweep. The cufflinks have a baseball with “Dodgers” in script on its sweet spot surmounted by a large “1963 4 STRAIGHT” which acknowledges the team’s sweep of the dreaded Yankees in the series. The scores of each game are also embossed in its surface testifying to the dramatic pitching duel each game provided. The design is the exact same as the right shank of a 1963 World Series ring. The backs have the fastening system with “LGB 10K” stamped into each one. Both cufflinks show light wear with some surface abrasions on the raised features. A very rare set of cufflinks commemorating perhaps the most dominant pitching exhibition ever displayed by one staff in the Fall Classic.
