Harvey Haddix was a left-handed pitcher who played with the St. Louis Cardinals (195256) Philadelphia Phillies (1956-57) Cincinnati Redlegs (1958) Pittsburgh Pirates (195963) and Baltimore Orioles (1964-65). In 1959 he once pitched 12 and two-thirds innings before giving up a hit an almost perfect game. This lot features a game-used glove Haddix wore during his tenure with the Pirates. The Rawlings Fastback Holdster model (XFG-2) glove shows considerable game usage and includes HADDIX in faded black marker across the back of the thumb area and H.H. in black marker on the outside of the stitched webbing area.

Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum.
