Johnny Blanchard was a pinch hitter and backup catcher for the New York Yankees during five World Series runs and two titles in 1961 and 1962. He holds the major league record of 10 World Series pinch-hit at-bats. 

 

Offered is one of the Adirondack "57A" professional model bats Blanchard used during the 1960 World Series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The bat is uncracked and shows evidence of light use. A few ball marks are visible on the right and left barrel. The model number "57A" is stamped on the knob. John Taube of PSA/DNA has given the bat a GU 7 grade for the use. 

Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received.
