Bill "Moose" Skowron had a stellar career as the New York Yankees' first baseman from 1954-62. He won four of his five World Series titles while wearing pinstripes, and had his best statistical year in 1960. That season, Moose batted .309 with 26 home runs and 91 RBI. The Yankees went on to win the Fall Classic that year, Skowron's third overall.

 

Offered is a H&B "K55" pro model bat used by Moose during his career year in 1960. The uncracked bat exhibits outstanding use with some grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the back barrel. Many ball marks are visible on the left and back barrel. Cleat marks can be seen on the top, front and right barrel, and green bat rack streaks are present as well. The bat expert at PSA/DNA, John Taube, gave the bat a near-perfect GU 9.5 assessment. 

Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
