Hank Bauer was part of eight World Series championships as the right fielder for the New York Yankees between 1948 and 1959. Bauer made three consecutive All Star appearances between 1952-54 and was a solid career .277 hitter. He went on to win another World Series as manager for the Baltimore Orioles and was selected to the team's Hall of Fame for his efforts.

 

Offered is one of two bats produced for Bauer for the 1955 World Series. The H&B "S2" bat exhibits outstanding use with a handle crack. Some grain swelling from repeated ball contact is on the front and back barrel. Many ball and cleat marks are visible on the right, left, and back barrel. The handle has been taped approximately 10.5" in a spiral pattern and also has a light coat of  pine tar. Comes with LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA with GU 8.5 grade.
