Nice pair of original Type 1 action photographs of Stan Musial from the 1950's that are both signed by The Man. The first shot of him sliding into second on a double against the Cubs at Wrigley Field on Aug. 29, 1951, in a 6-3 Cards win. The second shot is a close-up of Stan sliding safely into home during a doubleheader at Busch Stadium against the Pirates on July 13, 1954. Musial went 4-for-7 with a homer and 3 RBI in the twin bill sweep.
The crystal clear 8x10" photos shows minor surface wear but remain high quality in terrific condition. Each is stamped with the following day's date in red on the reverse. Both have affixed captions as well, the '51 shot by Chicago Tribune and '54 by AP. Musial's bold blue autographs really pop against the black and white images. From the Musial Collection auction several years ago, they both come with PSA/DNA Type 1 LOAs with perfect 10 autograph grades. COAs from JSA also included.
