Issued circa 1962 after her death for a look back at her early years, this beautiful 1947 studio portrait captures a young Marilyn Monroe when she was an unknown model named Norma Jean Baker. This Type II photo was printed from the original Columbia Pictures negative, giving this portrait razor sharp clarity. The Type 1 photo has all four borders with a catalog number in the bottom right corner. The reverse of the photo is blank except for a circled “2” in pencil. Encapsulated Type II by PSA/DNA.
