This 1929 Philadelphia Athletics World Series Champions ring, presented to second baseman Max Bishop, is crafted in 18kt yellow gold with a substantial, heavily detailed band. The face is centered by an old European-cut diamond set within a horseshoe motif, flanked by raised elephant figures — the Athletics' mascot — with "CHAMPIONS" engraved in banner script along one shoulder and "29" worked into the design at the base.
The ring shows extensive honest wear consistent with decades of ownership and use, including oxidized recesses throughout the engraved detail, scattered surface scratches, and softened high points on the elephant figures, though all design elements and lettering remain fully legible. The interior shank is stamped "18KT" with a jeweler's mark and additionally hand-engraved "MAX..." identifying the original recipient. A remarkable, well-documented championship ring from baseball's first three-peat dynasty, presented directly to a member of the 1929 World Series-winning roster. The size 7.5 ring weighs 15.87 grams.
