This remarkable artifact is the official daily program from the IX Olympiade Amsterdam 1928 — specifically Day Program No. 20, dated June 10, 1928, which covered the Olympic Football Gold Medal Final between Uruguay and Argentina. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, and a second final was played three days later on June 13. Uruguay won the rematch, 2-1.

The program is printed in Dutch and French and features a striking Art Deco cover design with the five Olympic rings and bold geometric typography rendered in orange, blue, and brown against a cream field, with the Amsterdam city cross flag prominently displayed. Interior pages include the full football tournament bracket and results through the final, organizational committee listings for the IX Olympiade and FIFA under the presidency of Jules Rimet, the full rosters for both the Uruguay and Argentina squads competing in the gold medal match, and a detailed halftime schedule including the Kaatsspel (Dutch ball game) demonstration at the Olympic Stadium.

A results page records the final outcome: Uruguay defeated Argentina in the gold medal match, with Italy defeating Egypt for bronze. The program also includes the complete tournament results chart showing all rounds from first round through the final. The program shows moderate age toning, handling wear, and some soiling consistent with nearly a century of age, but remains intact and legible. An extraordinary piece of early football and Olympic history predating the first FIFA World Cup by two years.
