Awesome 1927 original 9 3/4" by 13 1/4" black and white photo of Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig taken during their famous cross country promotional tour after the end of the regular baseball season. Crystal clear image features Christy Walsh standing between Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig with both players dressed in the "Bustin' Babes and Larrupin Lou's uniforms. White piece of paper at the top of photo contains the following type written information: Babe Ruth - Lou Gehrig Barnstorm Tour 1927 Christy Walsh Management 22 Games - 21 Cities - 7800 Miles - 220000 Attendance".A 2" crease from left edge at Gehrig's waist band with some light paper loss at upper right edge and along left edge are the only minor distractions. Outstanding photo overall. Absolutely beautiful piece once hung in the office of famed baseball agent Christy Walsh and is still in it's original vintage 11" by 14 1/8" black frame from that period.
