The 1925 World Series pitted the defending champion Washington Senators against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Senators, who knocked off the N.Y. Giants the year prior in seven games, were loaded with five Hall of Famers led by Walter Johnson and jumped out to a 3-1 series lead. But the Pirates became the first team to come back from such a deficit and win the Fall Classic. Game 1 at Pittsburgh's Forbes Field, however, got off to a rough start as "Big Train" shut down the Pirates' bats with a five-hitter, striking out 10 in a 4-1 victory. Ironically, almost a century later, this remains the last time the Senators/Twins franchise won a road game in the World Series (Twins went 0-3 on road in both their '87 and '91 titles).

Amazingly, this full unused ticket is the only example ever encapsulated by PSA. And to top it off, the incredibly well-preserved ticket earned a grade of EX-MT 6. The orange/yellow colors remain strong and vibrant, front and back. Slightly rounded corners, mostly straight edges including a relatively smooth perforated bottom side, and no visible creases or surface indentations give this ticket a striking appearance. Aside from six Game 7 fulls, there are only four fulls combined in the PSA pop report from Games 1 through 6, and this EX-MT 6 is by far the finest example; the next closest is an EX 5 from Game 5.
