Trey Yesavage’s rookie season was one for the books. Called up by Toronto in mid-September, the Jays’ rookie set a Blue Jays franchise record when he struck out nine in his first MLB start. Toronto tapped him to start Game 2 of the ALDS, and he was absolutely dominant, holding the Yankees hitless in 5 1/3 innings and whiffing 11 for another franchise record.

A 2024 first round pick out of East Carolina University, Yesavage became the second-youngest pitcher in MLB history at 22 years and 69 days old to record 10+ strikeouts in a postseason start. (John Candelaria of Pirates struck out 14 over eight innings in 1975 NLCS Game 3.) He was the first MLB pitcher to record 11 strikeouts while allowing no hits through the first five innings of a playoff game. The PA-native later fanned 12 in Game 5 of the 2025 World Series against the Dodgers, setting a new rookie record for K's in a single World Series game and becoming the first rookie to record two double-digit strikeout games in a single postseason. Yesavage would finish the 2025 postseason with more strikeouts (39) than any other rookie in MLB history.

This Rawlings Official Major League ball was used during Yesavage’s record-setting 13-7 win in Game 2 of the 2025 ALDS. The milestone ball shows nice game use, with scuffing on one panel and toning throughout. An MLB Auth. hologram (PX778381) is affixed to the ball. The original Toronto Blue Jays-branded box accompanies the game-used ball.
