Wilson Golf Custom Inscribed Top-Notch Iron Set (#2-9 plus Putting Wedge) originally owned and used by famous World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Joe Louis. The consignor's father was caddying for Louis at a course on the South Side of Los Angeles one one day when at the end of the round Louis tossed his clubs bag shoes and walked away. Seems he was very upset about being taken for some money by the others playing in his foursome. The consignor's father asked him if he wanted him him to pick them up and Louis answered with a resounding "NO". The caddy then grabbed it all. Over the years the bag shoes woods and putter were all sold but the irons were retained because they all had Louis's name on them. Clubs themselves are in beautiful condition. Each one of the 9 clubs has been custom stamped with the name "JOE LOUIS".

Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
