Lot of 4 signed letter sent to Walter Alston from prominent Baseball Executives from the personal collection of the Hall of Fame manager.
- September 5 1946 TSL on Brooklyn Dodgers letterhead from Dodger President Branch Rickey congratulating Alston on his job as manager of the Nashua Dodgers. Letter in great shape with strong 9/10 looking vintage blue ink Rickey signature.
- July 14 1967 TSL on National League letterhead from President Warren Giles congratulating Alston on his job as manager of the 1967 National League All-Star team. Letter in great shape with 8/10 blue ballpoint pen Giles signature. Comes with original envelope.
May 12 1970 TSL on Los Angles Dodgers letterhead from Dodger President Walter O'Malley thanking Alston and team upon his release from the hospital. O'Malley adds the following handwritten paragraph "The flowers were great but I really needed a scotch - Seriously I did appreciate them but I kept a bottle under my bed. Best Walter" all in 8-9/10 blue ballpoint pen. Letter in great condition. Comes with original envelope.
- April 19 1972 TSL on National League letterhead from President Charles Feeney congratulating Alston on his long and successful career as Dodger manager. 8/10 blue ballpoint pen signature. Most of letter clean but some toning around the edge with uneven border at bottom from cutting.
