Super Bowl III was played on January 12 1969 in Miami FL at the Orange Bowl. It was one of the biggest upsets in football history with Joe Namath and the AFL Champion New York Jets defeating the heavily favored NFL Champion Baltimore Colts by a score of 16-7. This original Super Bowl III program comes in EX-MT overall condition and has been beautifully signed on the first page by legendary Green Bay Packers coach Vince Lombardi in vintage but still bold blue ink rating 9/10 in our book. Super Bowl I or II programs signed by Lombardi may be more collectible for Packer fans but finding his autograph on a SB III program is super rare. After serving as Green Bay's General Manager in 1968 Lombardi served one season as head coach of the Washington Redskins in '69. He passed away in September of 1970 at the age of 57 so he certainly did not sign many more items after this one.
