The UCLA Bruins mens basketball program while under the guidance of revered head coach John Wooden won 10 NCAA titles in 12 years. Two of those championship seasons were 1967 and 1975. This lot includes a pair of team-signed basketballs commemorating those oustanding campaigns under Woodens tutelage the second of which marked his final year at the helm for UCLA. The first basketball an Adidas white-panel sphere boasts 13 signatures in either black or brown marker from the 67 squad including Abdul-Jabbar Lucius Allen Lynn Shackleford Gene Sutherland and Mike Warren. The second basketball a Spalding Official Top-Flite 100 model sports a single white panel thats christened with the words: NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS Presented to Southern California Datsun Dealers. The basketball includes 16 signatures from the team in black marker including that of legendary coach John Wooden and assistant coach Gary Cunningham as well as teammates Dave Meyers Marques Johnson Andre McCarter Jim Spillane and Richard Washington.
