The trio of baseball immortals captured in this 8" by 10" photo share the distinction of being honored among the inaugural class of inductees to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939. This original image a jovial Ty Cobb Tris Speaker and Babe Ruth was most likely captured at a War Bond benefit game in the 1940s. Cobb and Speaker have added their signatures in perfect black fountain pen each with a non-personalized Best Wishes salutation. Both signatures grade MINT 9 according to PSA/DNA. The photo itself exhibits excellent contrast and clarity. Some scattered surface wrinkles are mostly apparent near the corners. The back shows the subject names in both ink and again in pencil. Also appearing on the back is a Herbert Redman Photographer stamp as well as amber colored adhesive stains at the corners. Includes full LOA from PSA/DNA (Composite auto. Grades MINT 9).
