This lot features three different Saratoga Spinaway Stakes Champions trophies from the 1980’s that were earned by horses owned by the late Eugene V. Klein.

The first award celebrates the 1984 victory registered by “Tiltalating” and her jockey Angel Cordero Jr. with a winning time of 1:11.00. The two-handled sterling silver hallmarked trophy is beautifully designed and measures eight inches tall by 11 inches wide and six-and-a-half inches in diameter. It weighs 2.25 lbs. (1018 grams to be exact). The front of the trophy is engraved with the following text: “New York Racing Association The Spinaway SARATOGA 1984 Won by Eugene V. Klein’s TILTALATING.”

The second trophy is a two-handled silver-plated beauty that honors 1985 winner “Family Style” and her rider Don MacBeth with a winning time of 1:12.00. It stands 9.5 inches tall by 10 inches wide and weighs 1.7 lbs. The third and final trophy celebrates the 1987 victory by “Over All” when she ran with jockey Angel Cordero Jr. aboard her to a winning time of 1:11.00. The two-handled silver-plated trophy produced by Dum Spiro Spero stands 14.5 inches tall and 10.5 inches wide and weighs almost three pounds.
