After 72 holes of competitive golf the 2006 Buick Invitational at the Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla California found itself in a three-way tie for the lead with Tigers Woods Nathan Green and Jose Maria Olazabal all deadlocked at 278. It would take Woods two additional playoff holes to eventually win the tournament and walk away with $918000 in first place prize money. The victory marked Tiger's 47th GA win. This lot features his tournament-worn Nike polo shirt that he wore during the second round of the competition on January 27 when he shot a 68 to remain in the hunt for the title. The orange size MMM polo shirt shows minimal wear and boasts the Nike swoosh embroidered in black on the left breast and Tigers trademark TW logo embroidered in black on the rear neck area. In addition Tiger has autographed the shirt in black marker across the front just below the sternum. His signature has been designated as a 1/1 by Upper Deck Authenticated (UDA) officials a company for which Woods has served as an exclusive autograph signer since 2001.
