The closing of Tiger Stadium ended one more era in the history and legends of the magnificent ballparks that were built for the original 16 Major League teams. Artifacts from this group of temples have become increasingly scarce and desirable. Several of the original parks installed seats with figural team symbols on the ends of rows. None were more dramatic or visual than those from Briggs Stadium the original structure which evolved into Tiger Stadium. This gorgeous double seat relic is the most desirable tandem with the scarce figural Tiger featured on both ends. Double figurals such as this are the height of rarity and desirability among stadium seat collectors. This dual seat section has been expertly restored and repainted with a bright orange cast iron tiger on the end. The seat is affixed to a modern support base making it fully functional.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
