Ted Williams is captured here completing his picture-perfect swing in a timeless image by legendary Chicago photographer George Burke . Ted’s blue-fountain-pen signature is inscribed horizontally with the same precise execution as he applied to the science of batting. The silver-gelatin 3-3/8" x 5-3/8" real photo postcard features a vivid image with a couple of faint spider vein surface wrinkles and a small surface chip near the top edge. Burke's copyright stamping "GEO. BURKE - 847 Belmont Ave." appears on the reverse. The outermost edges are not visible as the piece is presented in a high quality double-sided frame to measure 9-1/4" x 11-1/2".
