Full Proof Ticket for the September 24 1935 heavyweight fight between contender Joe Louis and former champion Max Baer held at Yankee Stadium in New York City. Louis knocked down Baer in the 2nd round the first time in Baer's career he had been knocked to the canvas. In the 4th Louis did it again for a knockout victory. After the fight it was discovered that Baer's right hand had not healed from being broken in the Braddock fight 3 months earlier. This bout would be called "The Fight of the Year" by The Ring Magazine. Ticket front has facial images of each fighter with strong graphics. Gold relief design on back of ticket. Super clean ticket with one punch hole at upper right edge. No creasing but even rounding of all 4 corners. The only Proof ticket handled for this fight by PSA with just 4 regular full tickets for this fight in their database.
