As a member of the greatest dynasty in NBA history Sam Jones was often called out of retirement to show how he used to do it back in his1960’s heyday. These game used uniform sets were worn by the Celtics legend during the 1980s and 1990s at various old-timers and legends events. The first set is from the 1991 NBA All-Star Weekend in Charlotte. The red mesh Champion jersey has Jones’ number “24” on the front and back. The matching red mesh Champion shorts feature the 1991 All-Star Game logo on the thigh. Used for only one game the set shows light game wear. The second set in this group is from the Schick Legends games. The blue mesh Champion jersey has “Schick Legends” on the front with Jones’ number “24.” The back has “SAM JONES” and his number “24.” The matching blue mesh Champion shorts have “WEST” and the NBA logo on the thighs. This one game only set shows minimal wear. The final piece of this post-retirement group is Jones’ Schick Legends warm-up jacket. The white Nylon 5-button jacket has the Schick logo on the left chest and the NBA logo on the right. An American flag patch is on the left shoulder and a Champion logo on the right. "24 Barry" is written on the neck tag in black sharpie and "SAM" is written on the inside on the bottom front. A game used lot from Hall of Famer Sam Jones’ post-NBA period.
