The 2002 NFL season was a good one for the Oakland Raiders and strong safety Rod Woodson. Not only did the Raiders win the AFC title and battle in Super Bowl XXXVII against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but Woodson turned in a phenomenal season with a personal best eight interceptions two of which he returned for touchdowns and 70 tackles. This lot includes four different game balls that were awarded to Woodson for his stellar play following four memorable performances during the regular season. The first specially emblazoned Wilson game ball came from a Sept. 29th clash between the Raiders and Titans in which Woodson made three interceptions in a 52-25 win for Oakland. It was a super special day for Woodson as he also passed Hall of Famer Emlen Tunnell that afternoon as the leagues all-time leader in interception return yardage with 1339. The second emblazoned game ball was awarded following a 27-7 Raiders triumph on Dec. 8th over the San Diego Chargers in which Woodson tallied one INT. The third game ball with one panel painted silver with black lettering was given to Woodson after the Raiders clinched the AFC Western Division crown with a 28-16 win over the Denver Broncos on Dec. 22nd. Woodson tallied one more INT that day. The fourth and final specially emblazoned game ball went to Woodson after a 24-0 shutout of the Kansas City Chiefs on Dec. 28th. As expected Woodson made yet another interception. A great grouping of game balls celebrating a terrific exhibition of standout defensive play by the current Hall of Famer.

Includes Letter of Authenticity from Rod Woodson.
