Rod Woodson was a hard-hitting Hall of Fame defensive back one of the best DBs in league history. He played a total of 17 seasons in the NFL playing for four different teams: the Pittsburgh Steelers San Francisco 49ers Baltimore Ravens and Oakland Raiders. This lot features a group of four multi-signed white-panel footballs Woodson acquired late in his career and even after his career as is evidenced by the 2009 Hall of Fame multi-signed football he received during his own induction weekend in Canton Ohio. The HOF emblazoned football boasts the signatures in black marker of the four living inductees: Bruce Smith Randall McDaniel Buffalo Bills Founder Ralph Wilson Jr. and Woodson. Both Bob Hayes and Derrick Thomas were inducted posthumously. The three remaining footballs are all team-signed balls autographed by members of the Baltimore Ravens 2000 and 2001 squads. The first football is adorned with nearly 50 player signatures in black marker from the 2001 team while the remaining two footballs are specially designed with the Super Bowl XXXV logo as well as the location (Tampa Florida) and date (January 28 2001) of the game in which the AFC Champion Ravens blasted the NFC Champion New York Giants 34-7. Key signatures on the three team-signed footballs include Hall of Famers Ray Lewis Shannon Sharpe and Woodson along with QB Trent Dilfer RB Jamal Lewis and Jermaine Lewis.
