The Ted Williams Museum and Hitters Hall of Fame is located at Tropicana Field home of the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg Florida. Williams the late Baseball Hall of Famer who played 19 seasons for the Boston Red Sox decided he wanted to open up a prestigious location that honored great hitters of the game. This lot features the prestigious Ted Williams Hitters Hall of Fame plaque that was awarded to Milwaukee Brewers great Robin Yount upon his induction. Yount a two-time American League MVP (1982 and ’89) and the owner of 3142 MLB hits received the award on February 18 2001 just 17 months prior to Williams’ passing at the age of 83. The impressive plaque which measures 14” wide by 18” high has been signed by Yount in gold pen and includes both an engraved portrait image of Yount as well as an action shot of the former Brewers star running out of the batter’s box.
