Known for his trademark underhand free throws, Rick Berry was one of the ABA and NBA’s most prolific scoring machines. The 1966 ABA Rookie of the Year was an eight-time All-Star, won the 1975 Finals MVP Award and led the NBA in free-throw percentage six times. Barry’s most unique accomplishments is his being sole player to lead the NCAA, ABA, and NBA in points per game in a season. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the NBA, the league chose 50 players who represented the very best throughout their history.

One of the perks of being among the 50 players selected was this 14K gold presentation ring. The size 10.5 ring weights an impressive 44.21 grams. The top of the ring has “NBA – GREATEST PLAYERS” in raised letters surrounding a dimensional basketball surmounted by a “50.” The left shank has “BARRY” engraved onto a gold ribbon above the NBA 50 Greatest Players logo and his number “24.” The right shank has a large NBA logo with “1946” on one side and “1996” on the other. The inside carries a “LGB 14K” hallmark. The ring shows light wear from use with some surface scuffs and abrasions. The ring is accompanied by its original wood and glass presentation box personalized and engraved with Rick Barry’s name. A one-of-a-kind tribute to one of the most underrated NBA Hall of Famers.
