Very rare 1931 Tour of Japan program featuring a great photo of New York Yankee Hall of Fame 1st baseman Lou Gehrig leaping at first base to catch a baseball. The other cover has a Japanese star pictured. In English at top of cover is "JAPAN VS. AMERICA GRAND BASE BALL MATCH 1931". Inside another page has a photo of Gehrig and fellow Hall of Famer Lefty Grove. Al the players from both teams have nice individual photos with what appear to be brief biographies. Other prominent players on the tour are Hall of Famers Al Simmons Frank Frisch Mickey Cochrane Rabbit Maranville and George Kelly. Program has not been scored. Some bug damage to back couple of pages at top and just a small area on the Gehrig cover at the upper right. Rare piece of Japanese tour baseball memorabilia!
