Awesome 1913 New York Giants and Chicago White Sox World Tour Teams panoramic photo taken right before their game at Oxnard California on Nov. 11 1913. Crystal clear photographic image features all the players on both teams as well as a number of noted dignitaries. Among the Baseball Hall of Fame members pictured are John McGraw Christy Mathewson Tris Speaker Sam Crawford Red Faber Ray Schalk Frank Chance and Bill Klem. Also present are Black Sox 3rd baseman Buck Weaver the controversial Hal Chase motion picture star Charley Hall and auto racing pioneer Barney Oldfield. Someone at one time has neatly written the name of every person pictured right below their image. The tour kicked off in Cincinnati on Oct. 18 1913. The 2 teams played their way across the country before setting sale from Victoria British Columbia on Nov. 19. Circling the world games were played in Japan Hong Kong The Philippines Australia Ceylon Egypt Italy France and England before returning to the United States on March 6 1914. At far right printed in photo is "N. Y. GIANTS vs CHICAGO WHITE SOX Oxnard Cal. Nov. 11 1913". Very neatly below is printed "ON ROUND - WORLD - TOUR". Panorama is in beautiful condition and appears to be totally crease free. Framed to a size of 40" by 9 1/2". Very rare piece of World Tour History in absolutely pristine looking condition!
