Offered here is a pair of Radek Bonk game-worn jerseys stretching from his pre-rookie era in the IHL to his final NHL season in 2008-09 with the Nashville Predators. The Czech center was signed by the Las Vegas Thunder of the International Hockey League in 1993 and then drafted #3 overall by the Ottawa Senators in 1994. He returned to Las Vegas during the first part of the 1994-95 NHL lockout before making his NHL debut later in the season when the labor strike ended. Bonk spent 10 of his 14 NHL seasons in Ottawa where he was a reliable scorer and playmaker tallying 70 points (25 goals 45 assists) in 2001-02. He finished his career in Nashville still contributing valuable minutes and providing an offensive spark.
The 2008-09 Nashville Predators road white jersey made by Reebok and CCM/Maska comes in size 58 with the large team crest on the front and smaller versions on the shoulders. "BONK" is screen-printed in navy blue on a back white nameplate with his No. "14" in navy-on-gold tackle twill sewn on the back and sleeves. Tagging from MeiGray Group (NHL's official game-used memorabilia partner) appears inside the back left tail and reads "NHL Game-Worn Jersey 2008-09 Season F08314". A CCM size 58 tag appears inside the collar and a Reebok/Maska Sport laundry instructions tag can be found inside the left inseam. The shirt displays outstanding game use with four team repairs on the right sleeve and three repairs on the left. There are stick and puck marks as well as areas of fraying and pilling.
The 1993-95 Las Vegas Thunder white jersey does not show any clear signs of game use so we are calling it game-ready. The front has the large team crest with the IHL patch above. Bonk's name and No. 76 appear on the back with his number also on each shoulder. The Bauer ProWear tagging inside the collar indicates 100% polyester and a size of L/XL. Bonk has signed the back '7' in 6-7/10 black Sharpie. It presents problem-free and without alteration.
Includes LOA from MeiGray Group and Nashville Predators. Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum. Autograph pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
