From 1949 to 1960 the New York Yankees were a juggernaut of a team that claimed 10 American League pennants and seven World Series titles in 12 years! Managed by Hall of Famer Casey Stengel the team featured several eventual Hall of Fame inductees including three standout players: catcher Yogi Berra shortstop Phil Rizzuto and second baseman Billy Martin. This lot features a 16 by 20 black-and-white photo circa 1950 showing the aforementioned foursome on the steps of the Yankees dugout waiting to take the field. In addition the lot includes four cut signatures of the fabulous four in various degrees of ink. Beautifully framed and double matted the overall piece measure 31 wide by 26 high. A terrific image capturing four Yankee greats in one photo.
