The New York Yankees boast the winningest franchise in Major league Baseball history. Countless players have worn the Yankee pinstripes and dozens upon dozens of former Bronx Bombers now grace the halls of Cooperstown. This lot includes a pair of limited edition baseballs sporting signatures from four Yankee Hall of Famers and a fifth former Yankee who is destined to reach Cooperstown shortly. The first baseball is a Joe DiMaggio tribute photo-ball (#285/300) that includes a head shot of Joe D. on one panel with DiMaggio's signature in blue ink across the sweet spot accompanied by autographs from Yogi Berra Whitey Ford and Phil Rizzuto's all in blue ink on either side of the sweet spot. The second is an OML (Selig) baseball that includes a "Yankee Stadium 100th Anniversary" blue stamp with recently retired Yankees Team Captain Derek Jeter's authentic autograph below it in blue ink. The limited edition baseball is #381/500. All signatures are in great shape and rate 8-9/10 in our book.
