Nice pair of vintage USC Trojan footballs. The first ball is a 1928 Spalding official inter collegiate football signed by Howard Jones. Jones coached USC from 1925-40. The Inscription reads "To Mr McRae Best wishes" above the autograph and "(USC vs Cal) 1928" below. The Trojans were 9-0-1 for the 1928 season. The signature and inscription are signed in black felt pen. The signature is very strong and would rate a 8-9/10 but the to line "To Mr McRae" is fading and barely legible. The second ball is a team signed ball from the 1960's with 44+ signatures from the coaches and players. Some of the signatures have faded and are difficult to discern however the signatures of John McKay Roy George Jess Hill Linden Crow and Marv Goux are still in good shape and would rate a 7-8/10. The ball is a Rawlings AB football with three tan panels and one cream colored panel.
