Rose Bowl victories are coveted all over the gridiron landscape. The prestigious post-season bowl game has produced countless memories and dozens upon dozens of collegiate All-Americans. This lot features a pair of team-signed footballs from two vintage Rose Bowl winning clubs: 1934 Columbia and 1943 Georgia. The first football a Reach model ball thats currently deflated boasts 38 signatures all legible in black ink. On one panel the football has the following words printed: Presented to Joe. E. Brown by The Georgia Bulldogs Rose Bowl Champions Jan. 1 1934. Signatures include Red Boyd Ardie McClure Leo Costa Van Davis J.P. Miller Sonny Lloyd and Joe Terry. The second football also deflated is an official Spalding Collegiate version (Model J5V) is another keepsake that was presented to Joe Brown by the 1934 Columbia University football team. It includes the signature of head coach Lou Little in black but the majority of the other signatures on the other panels have faded significantly over time. Little served as head coach from 1930 to 56. On the panel sporting Littles autograph is a special inscription that reads: To Joe E. Brown The Prince of Good Fellows For His Geniality As Our Host. The football is dated Jan. 2 1934. We cannot guarantee that the footballs will hold air although their bladders can be replaced.
