The 1964 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo Japan were the first Summer Olympics held in Asia and the first time South Africa was barred from taking part due to its apartheid system in sports. This lot includes four programs from those games including both a 40-page blue-covered Opening Ceremony booklet as well as a 64-page pink-covered Closing ceremony pamphlet. In addition there are two Official Boxing programs from those games the first representing bouts that took place on Oct. 19 and the second covering those bouts that occurred on Oct. 21. Eventual 64 Olympic Boxing Gold Medalist Joe Frazier of the United States in included in both boxing programs. Despite their age all programs which include pages printed in both Japanese and English remain in good condition.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
