Baseball Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew launched a total of 573 home runs during the course of his prolific 22-year MLB career. Originally a member of the Washington Senators Killebrew finished his career with the Minnesota Twins when the team changed cities and its name in 1961. Through his first seven seasons in D.C. Killebrew cracked a total of 84 home runs. The majority of his damage at the plate however was done while wearing a Twins’ uniform in which he hit 489 round-trippers.
This lot features a pair of replica jerseys: a 2003 A.L. MLB All-Star Game Majestic Authentic Collection jersey from Chicago’s U.S. Cellular Field featuring the Twins patch on the left sleeve and a pinstriped Washington Senators flannel style zippered Mitchell & Ness jersey with Killebrew’s trademark number “3” on the back. Killebrew has autographed both jerseys in blue marker. He signed the A.L. All-Star style jersey on the back just below his uniform number “3” while he signed the front of the Senators vintage style jersey just below the “W” logo for Washington on the left front chest.
