This lot features a pair of multi-signed baseballs representing two baseball milestones that don’t come without their share of hard work: 50 career shutouts for nine dominant pitchers and inclusion in the coveted “500 Home Run Club” for 11 memorable sluggers.
The first sphere an official Major League (Selig) baseball that’s numbered 35/50 was signed in varying degrees of blue ink by the following nine hurlers to attain this distinct milestone all of whom reside in Cooperstown: Nolan Ryan (sweet spot) Tom Seaver Don Sutton Jim Palmer Juan Marichal Bert Blyleven Steve Carlton Bob Gibson and Gaylord Perry. Signatures are all in excellent condition and rate 8-9/10 in our book.
The second ball a slightly toned official American League (Brown) baseball features 11 Hall of Fame signatures from as many members of the exclusive 500 Home Run Club including both Ted Williams and Reggie Jackson sharing the sweet spot. Other autographs include Willie Mays Ernie Banks Willie McCovey Hank Aaron Frank Robinson Eddie Mathews Harmon Killebrew Mike Schmidt and Mickey Mantle the latter signature showing some slight fading of the first name. A nice pair of multi-signed baseballs honoring two milestone one of which is virtually extinct with the modern usage of starting pitchers.
500 HR ball has full LOA from PSA/DNA. Shutout ball pre-certified by PSA/DNA.Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping.
