This lot represents a striking homage to two great quarterbacks from the modern era Jim Kelly and Troy Aikman on the occasion of their Hall of Fame inductions in 2002 and 2006 respectively. Kelly was the third quarterback taken in the 1983 NFL Draft and led one of the great NFL scoring juggernauts in the Buffalo Bills. Kelly led the Bills to four consecutive Super Bowls from 1991 to 1994; however each time the team lost. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002 in his first year of eligibility. Aikman was the No. 1 overall draft pick in 1989 and played 12 seasons as quarterback with the Cowboys. He was a six-time Pro Bowl selection led the team to three Super Bowl victories and was the Super Bowl XXVII MVP earning election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.

The two QB greats are featured on an full-size Riddell helmet split with 1/2 in Buffalo Bills colors and design and the other the Cowboys' configuration. Each HOF has signed on the appropriate side adding his uniform number inscription. Two Riddell Hall of Fame mini helmets are also included in the lot with 11 total HOF signatures between the pair in black Sharpie: Elvin Bethea Joe Delamielleure Hank Stram James Lofton Ron Yary Jack Youngblood Jackie Slater Marv Levy Mike Munchak Lynn Swann and Nick Buoniconti. All three helmets appear to be in pristine essentially as-issued and problem-free condition. The 2001 Induction Class (Levy et al.) mini helmet comes in the original Riddell packaging; the other helmet (2003 Induction) comes in a special plexiglass display case that is 7 1/2-by-5-inchs and 8 inches high.
