In 1955 the Brooklyn Dodgers not only won the National League pennant, but 'Dem Bums finally went on to beat their crosstown pinstriped rivals from the Bronx in the World Series. It was one of the more memorable seasons and Fall Classics in baseball history, with the "Boys of Summer" winning an epic seven-game series and capturing the hearts of baseball lovers everywhere.
Presented here is a pair of full tickets (one is a proof) from Game 4 at Ebbets Field. The Dodgers looked more like the Bombers in this one, blasting three home runs en route to an 8-5 victory. The Hall of Fame trio of Campy, Snider and Hodges each touched them all, with Clem Labine cleaning up a sloppy start by Erskine to seal it for Brooklyn and even the series at two games apiece.
Emblazoned with the iconic Dodgers logo in blue, each ticket conjures up memories of those epic battles between a slew of legendary Hall of Famers on the hallowed grounds of Ebbets Field and Yankee Stadium. The President's Box proof comes in fantastic condition and appears to be a "finished" proof as it has been hole-punched (canceled) and, thus, is slabbed AUTHENTIC by PSA (only one is graded higher). The issued Pavilion Reserved full ticket has been re-attached and, hence, is also slabbed AUTHENTIC by PSA. Only three true fulls have been authenticated by PSA, with only one higher than this one.
