Here offered is a Louisville Slugger professional signature model bat used by "The Wizard" during the peak of his magnificent career. Turned during the 1983-1986 labeling period this 34 inch white ash weapon hails from a span that saw Smith deliver his memorable circuit clout during the 1985 NLCS prompting Cards announcer Jack Buck to advise "Go crazy folks!" With a pronounced centerbrand and barrel stampings the lumber shows outstanding use with ball bat-rack and surface marks throughout as well as pine-tar residue about the handle and a faint black marker notation of Smith's since-retired number "1" on the barrel end. Written on the knob end is his moniker Oz in black marker.
