A rare specimen in terms of both his hitting abilities and selfless persona Hall of Famer Hank Greenberg compiled 331 career home runs during a career abbreviated by voluntary military service. A four-time home run champion and two-time MVP Greenberg was in the top 10 for home runs per at-bat in nine of his 13 seasons. Offered is a superb vintage Worth College League baseball signed by the Detroit Tiger and World War II hero. His vintage black steel tip pen signature ("Hank Greenberg") projects "8-9/10" strength on the mildly toned sphere. The characteristics of both the ball and Greenberg's period autograph indicate this was certainly signed by the HOFer while he was rostered with the Detroit Tigers. The combination of its condition and vintage make this one of the finest Greenberg singles we've seen! Inducted into Cooperstown in 1956 Greenberg died in 1986.

Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
