Jimmy (i.e. Jimmie) Wilson is better remembered as a 2-time All-Star catcher and 2-time World Series Champion who played in the major leagues for 18 seasons. The son of Scottish immigrant parents Wilson enjoyed four years of success as a right winger in the National Association Football League and American Soccer League before settling on a long and illustrious career in baseball as both player and manager. His life was tragically cut short by a heart attack at the age of 46.
1) "The Major Leagues of Professional Baseball Present This Lifetime Pass to Jimmy Wilson in Appreciation of Long and Meritorious Service." Issued by AL president William Harridge and NL president Ford C. Frick in the 1940's the 2.75" by 4.25" piece is well-preserved showing the slightest discoloration or markings on its silver plated material. Stamped "LAMBERT BROS. JEWELERS N.Y." on back.
2) "Association of Professional Ball Players of America Life Membership Confers Upon James C. Wilson". Issued by "Win Clark SECY" in the 1940's "No. 327". The size of a business card the 2" by 4" item is made of bronze and/or copper. It is in excellent almost pristine condition.
