Hall of Fame hoops legend Oscar Robertson had arguably the greatest college basketball career of all time. In each of his three varsity seasons at the University of Cincinnati, Oscar led the NCAA in scoring and was named Consensus First Team All-America as well as College Basketball Player of the Year. As a junior and senior, "The Big O" led the Bearcats to back-to-back Final Four appearances. He averaged 33.8 points, 15.2 rebounds and 7.1 assists during his tenure, guiding his team to a 79-9 overall record before moving on to the NBA and becoming one of the best point guards ever.

This important trophy was presented to Robertson and is now awarded to the NCAA Player of the Year, which took Oscar's name in 1998 to honor the man who won the first two ever issued. The college basketball version of football's Heisman Trophy, if you will, this extravant bronzed statue capturing Oscar in his famous split leg pose was sculpted by renowned artist Harry Weber, who etched his last name at the bottom of the stand. A gold medallion atop the base reads "College Player of the Year" and "United States Basketball Writers Assoc." around the perimeter, with "OSCAR ROBERTSON TROPHY" at center and his name again engraved on a placard just above. The round marble base is 9" in diameter and 3/4" thick, lined on the underside in black velvet to give it some padding. The imposing trophy stands nearly 20" tall, weighs 14.5 pounds and comes in NM condition overall (just a few visible scratches on the base). From the company that represented Oscar's personal collection on two separate occasions comes one of the most attractive and desirable awards that we have ever had the pleasure of offering.
