Featured here are three pairs of shorts worn by Oscar Robertson during his reign in Milwaukee in the early 1970’s. Two are home whites and the other is a road green. The home white trunks are each trimmed in green and red with a colorful Bucks head logo sewn on the left thigh. One white pair shows significantly more wear with Oscar’s No. “1” handwritten in white marker inside the rear (no size or maker tagging is present). There appears to have been some water damage as brown staining appears front and back with the outline of the Bucks logo and other green color bleeding/staining showing up. Loose threads run all along the waistband. The other white pair has what appears to be a removed patch on the right thigh the result of likely being carried over multiple seasons. Sand-Knit tagging on the interior indicates size 36 with an adjacent local Mid-City Sporting Goods distributor's tag marked "O" [for Oscar] in red pen. A few minor spot stains (from game use not water damage) can be found on the exterior.

The third pair of Oscar game trunks come in green with white and red trim. Tagged on the interior by Rawling with size 36 and a"O" in blue marker they have the Bucks logo on the left thigh and show moderate wear with sweat staining on the inner waistband. It sure would be nice to have the jerseys that accompanied these shorts; nonetheless these are still super rare gamers from The Big O’s time with Milwaukee where he was able to claim his one and only World Championship. Includes LOA from Oscar Robertson.

PLEASE NOTE: Oscar will donate a portion of his auction proceeds to the Jerome Lipper Multiple Myeloma Center and LeBow Institute for Myeloma Therapeutics at Dana Farber. This renowned cancer treatment center “provides comprehensive care to patients with multiple myeloma including promising new therapies through clinical trials rooted in an approach that brings laboratory discoveries quickly to the clinical setting” (https://www.dana-farber.org/multiple-myeloma-program).
