Oscar “Ski” Melillo played in the Majors from 1926 to 1937 mostly for the St. Louis Browns. He briefly managed alongside Lou Boudreau with the 1948 World Champion Cleveland Indians. This lot is for Oscar Melillo’s MLB Lifetime Silver Pass. Embossed lettering on the NM sliver square pass reads “Major Leagues of Professional Baseball present this LIFETIME PASS to Oscar Melilo in appreciation of long and meritorious service” along with facsimile signatures of Harridge and Frick. Also included is a 1949 Dayton Central League Champions Money Clip from Oscar’s stint as a manger is the Minor Leagues.
