Manuel Peter Neuer is the greatest goalkeeper of the modern generation and one of the top keepers in the history of football. At 39 years old, the German national continues to serve as captain at FC Bayern Munich where he has starred for the past 15 years. In 2005, Neuer began his pro career as a teenager in the Bundesliga with Schalke 04. By 2011, his prowess in goal caught the attention of the top clubs in Europe.
Upon transferring to Bayern Munich, Neuer made an immediate impact for the famed club. With Neuer in net, Bayern has won twelve Bundesliga and two UEFA Champions League titles – both as part of the coveted “treble” in magical 2013 and 2020 seasons. Meanwhile, at the international level, Neuer spent 16 years in goal for the German National Team from 2009 to 2024. He took over as Germany’s #1 goalkeeper at the 2010 FIFA World Cup and never looked back, helping lead Die Nationalelf to its fourth world title at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Known for his sweeper-keeper style, Neuer revolutionized the position with his speed and anticipation skills, often rushing far off his line out of the penalty area to disrupt counterattacks. Named “World’s Best Goalkeeper” a record five times by International Federation of Football History & Statistics, he was awarded “Goalkeeper of the Decade” from 2011 to 2020 by IFFHS and is currently ranked by the prestigious organization as the third best keeper of all time (behind Gianluigi Buffon and Iker Casillas).
This offered FC Bayern Munich jersey was worn by Manuel Neuer in the 1st half on October 23, 2024, against FC Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League. The match was played at Estadi Ollimpic Lluis Companys in Barcelona while Camp Nou was temporarily closed for renovations. Bayern lost to Barca, 4-1, thanks to a hat trick from Raphinha. Neuer’s green goalie shirt has been conclusively photo-matched by Resolution Photomatching thanks to the unique placement of two logo patches within the octagonal mesh pattern of the fabric.
Properly tagged by Adidas within the inner collar, the short-sleeved shirt comes in size XL with three logos on the front: a white Adidas symbol; a large ‘T’ logo for kit sponsor T-Mobile; and the iconic “F.C. Bayern München” crest patch. The right sleeve contains the patches for “UEFA Foundation for Children” and the UEFA Champions League (ball with black stars and “6” in middle for number of times Bayern has won it). An additional patch from jersey sponsor Allianz is on the left sleeve. The V-neck collar and sleeve ends are trimmed in white, with the patented Adidas three-stripes running down the shoulders. “NEUER” and his famous No. “1” are ironed on the reverse in white. The shirt exhibits heavy wear with light soiling and an unwashed aroma. Includes full paperwork from ResMatch. (It should be noted that Neuer’s 2nd half shirt from the 10/23/2024 match sold for $6,350 at auction last year.)
