Offered here is a complete Lionel Messi match-issued uniform set from Argentina's 2022 FIFA World Cup (Qatar) Group C clash against Poland on November 30, 2022 at Stadium 974. (Built using exactly 974 recycled shipping containers, Stadium 974 in Doha, Qatar, was the first fully demountable venue in World Cup history; it seated 40,000 spectators and hosted seven matches during the tournament.) Argentina won 2-0 to advance to the knockout round on its way to winning the title.
This uniform set was procured from an Argentine collector with close connections to a staff member for the Argentine National Team. Before the 2022 World cup, the consignor asked his Argentine contact to save a home and away set from as far as Argentina would advance. Three weeks after the tournament ended, he was able to get this away set from Argentina vs. Poland and a home set from the Final vs. France (Lot 484). Each player would have multiple full kits (matching jerseys, shorts and socks) prepared for him before each match. Messi would usually get five kits. The players would bring their own cleats and shin guards to the dressing room in their own bags.
The Adidas away kit is constructed in royal blue with violet accents, featuring the Argentina double-star AFA crest on the chest, the iconic "10" in white on both front and back, with "MESSI" lettered across the reverse. Match details — "POLAND / 30 NOVEMBER 2022 / STADIUM 974" — are printed in white below the Adidas logo. The front face displays the signature Adizero Heat.Rdy sublimated graphic pattern. The matching Adidas blue shorts bear the AFA crest and number 10, while Adidas blue knee-high socks with the AFA crest complete the set.
Accompanied by a MEARS letter confirming the appropriate size, specs and tagging for an Argentina 2022 World Cup (Group C vs. Poland) match-issued kit.
