The Montreal Forum was originally built in 1924 to host the Montreal Maroons( NHL)from 1924-38. In 1926 the Montreal Canadiens also called the Forum home until 1996 when they moved to Belle Center. The Montreal Forum boasts 24 Stanley Cup championships. (2 for the Maroons and 22 for the Canadiens).

Presented here is an unrestored seat from section 106 Row D and Seat 9 as is shown on the one piece wooden seat back. A 9 is stenciled higher on the seat back and and a Canadien team sticker is glued to the upper right of the seat back. The seat is a metal base with with a padded seat cushion all in Canadien red. The cushion presents very well with only a 3/4" tear and the only blemish of significance. The rest of the chair shows signs of wear with a dent in the metal under seat and some paint chipping on the seat back. The heavy duty silver and blue metal frame have been mounted an a modern base and overall presents very nice considering the age.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
